I am someone who is dedicated and passionate about educating, treating, and addressing mental health challenges. I am very open to creative expression and learning new ways to better serve my clients.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of SC and GA. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Charleston Southern University and a Master's degree in Human Services, specializing in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University.
I bring to you over thirteen years in the mental health field, which has been a beautiful journey. I am a country girl from a small town called McCormick, SC which has created space for the execution of big dreams.
I enjoy traveling, reading, tennis, serving with others, and most importantly educating and bringing awareness to behavioral health and mental wellness.
I have had the opportunity to travel this great country, committing to the work I love, serving anyone who desires to begin again, and help those to tap into the best version of themselves.
With years of experience, I specialize in trauma, and work with dual diagnosed clients ranging from children to geriatrics. I work with the L.B.G.T.Q community to service the under-served in efforts to be a reliable resource.
I also strive to serve from a solution focused based therapy that creates the space to adjust to life’s transitions that we all can relate to.
All of my work is not just medically documented. My therapy style is very unique and I have personalized measures. I have met clients in a variety of settings, including the office and on top of a mountain. Yes, you read it correctly, A mountain, in Garmisch, Germany, to be exact. My experiences have shaped unique therapeutic approaches and coaching that are waiting for you to incorporate into your daily functions. I will be honored to serve you.
My international experience has helped me cultivate some long lasting relationships and networks. I am honored to be available to offer service to my non-USA clients who thrives for wellness. I have learned from my European experience that everything does not require a diagnosis or clinical treatment. One just may desire a safe space, free of judgement, to speak your truth, unpack hurt, and not be subjected to the world’s traditions. You have the power to define your truth in a more person centered approach.
My treatment approach included, Client-Centered, Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, as well as utilizing techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I am very hands on and enjoy creating personalized approaches, that are effective and designed just for and your overall journey.
It is always a humbling experience to be honored and recognized for the work provided within the community. I have been coined at least twice by the Marine Corps for the services provided as a Military Family & Life Counselor. It is a physical representation of honor, that I will continue to carry daily. My heart stays connected to the prominent men and women that sacrifice themselves selflessly for our country, in addition to the unwavering support of their families and loved ones. Begin Again Counseling Salutes you for your service.
